Running battery cables over to inverter.

I’m planning the installation of a 12000xp with 2 indoor wall mount batteries. The total height of the inverter, battery and conduit box is about 80”. Unfortunately, my basement has a ceiling height of about 85”. Therefore I won’t have the required 19.5” clearance above the inverter.

I’m going to have to mount the inverter lower on the wall while having the batteries off to the side.

What would be the best way to run the battery cables to the inverter? The bottom inputs of the inverter will be lower than the top of the batteries. What kind of conduit would best suit this install? Is it correct that the paralleling cables need to be the same length as the battery cables going to the inverter?

No
The only time that cables need to be the same total length, is when they are in parallel.
"Paralleling cables" is a confusing name. They put the batteries in parallel. But the cables are not in parallel.

Good to know. The cables running from the master battery to the inverter are probably going to be near 4’ long. I didn’t want to have to make new paralleling cables between batteries.

I have a similar circumstance with two inverters and 3 batteries each using stock parallel cables with custom (longer) cables running to the inverters. As I have 3 in a U shape no matter how hard I tried stock cables were just not long enough to allow for clearances etc etc but with two batteries off to one side I would think stock cables might have been long enough.

No issues with charging/discharging I can see.
