Running Solar Assistant and Pi OS on the same Raspberry pi5 or SA with GPIO???

Happy 4th All,
I'm trying to get away from Watchpower and use solar assistant. But.... I want to be able to either run pi os on the same device or be able to use the pi IO to monitor/control secondary devices. In a nutshell i want to run the ac in the power house if it is hot and the sun is shining. Hit me back when you can. thanks

Short answer is you can't. SA runs its own OS, which keeps you from doing much else.

I have root access from SA. I am new to python and chat cpt keeps going over my head.

Still no, sorry. Get another Pi and do what you like. Think of it as a single-use appliance.
