Thinking of just installing one of these in my solar shed for back up. Anyone use these for that purpose other than for an RV?

Vevor is just a "re-brander". They don't make anything. @Rednecktek recently identified a brand on Amazon that's similarly priced and seems to be well regarded. Hopefully, he'll poke his head in there and comment.

I use a Powermax PM4-100LK for a very non-standard purpose and am very happy with it.

Worth noting that most ratings are for a lower voltage than typical bulk/absorption charging. They tend to only deliver their max current at lower voltage. If you actually want 80A through the bulk phase, you should be looking at a 100A unit.

Thank you sir! Have a transfer switch that is grid tided but I also like the idea that if my bank needs to get by a day or two with a little help at night with this to get to sunny again just use this instead. Also it seemed like a cheap way to supplement charge if needed while running a small load.

I have mine on a smart plug where I can turn it on/off remotely manually, on a schedule or simply start it and set a shutoff timer.

@ sunshine_eggo, I am thinking about adding one of the powermax 100a chargers to my motorhame and have a few questions. I have 920Ah of LFP installed and charge it with a Magnum MS2012 invertor charger. It will output 108A charging and the BMK battery monitor shows that from 80A to 90A reaches the battery. When dry camping, I need to do all of my charging form the 10kw generator and only 80-90 amp charge takes a long time. I want to add a second bulk charger which will be connected only to the generator output so that it will only work when on generator.

  • Do you have any info on the actual amps that it will deliver to a largeish FLP bank during a say 3-hour run?
  • Can you adjust the output voltage on the unit?

100A at lower voltage. At bulk voltage, about 85A

  • Can you adjust the output voltage on the unit?

The "LK" units can be selected to operate as charger or power supply with the bulk/power supply voltage pot adjustable.
