Safe to tie grounds together of utility power and inverter output?

I have a small trailer with shore power (120v ac) and an onboard inverter (12v dc to 120v ac). I have a manual transfer switch between the two so that only one can be feeding the trailer at a time. The transfer switch only switches the hot and neutral leads. Is it okay for the two grounds (inverter output and shore power) to be tied together at the common ground busbar?

Thanks! I wasn't sure if the ground needed to be switched also.
No, not usually. Always check install manual. But you need all ground conductors and equipment on site to be bonded to a common bus or other point.
