I have a set up coming up with 2x 100Ah 48v batteries with 100Ah BMS and a 12000K inverter Sunsmart LVM12K from PowMR.
My inverter max input from the battery side is 270A
How many fuses should i put to avoid fire hazard and what capacity fuses and where on the diagram.
What cable size should i use between batteries and from batteries to busbar? and from busbar to Inverter.

NO Solar panels currently connected just grid to charge batteries and use as power back up.

Current Set up idea:

Battery to Battery parallel cable 6 AWG wire.

Positive side ++ 2x Batteries in parallel (100ah 48v) + (Each one with a 125A terminal fuse) + Cable( 2/0 AWG) + (Buss bar rated at 300-600A)+Cable( 2/0 AWG) + (300A T fuse)+ (inverter 12000k with max BAT Input of 270A)

Negative side -- Cable( 2/0 AWG) - (Buss bar rated at 300-600A) - Cable( 2/0 AWG) - (Inverter 12000k with max BAT Input of 270A)

Please let me know if there is a safer set up. Thank you

Battery parallel cable should be 100Amp plus 6 gauge is not going to cut it. Each batteries should be fused to 100amp. Going from battery to buss bar wired should be 200amp plus with a 200 amp fuse. Then 200amp plus wire from bus bar to inverter is all you need. The weak link will be the battery and what you will be wiring too and fusing to.

So i guess 2/0 cables from Battery to Battery, then from the batteries to bussbars 4/0 and buss bar to inverter 4/0.

100 amp fuse on each battery terminar and a 200 amp fuse/ breaker on the way to bussbar.

Thank you.

Not needed to use such large cable. Your manual should recommend the size and exceeding it might making the connection difficult. For instance my Anenji 12kW AIO has 1AWG or 44mm. I am using 1/0. Between batteries in parallel and to a distribution busbar 2AWG works for me.

Im new to solar, Im just concerned about cable overheating. Want to make sure no equipment gets damage with any overloads as well.
Undersized cable (or not good quality cable) could overheat but most cases of high temperatures are at connection points. Some folks go teh bigger the better route but that can be costly . Here is a screen grab of amperage amounts for Temco welding cable.
