Hey guys,

For those that know me, I'm a PV/Solar installer and dealer. I install in Central America but do sales/engineering across the US and Central America/Caribbean. We ship cells to clients all over (LFP/NMC) and right now we have access to some stock of rare-ish Samsung cells so I decided to post a sale on them for those who might be interested. Quantity is limited unfortunately so if these are what you've been looking for and the price fits your budget, you may want to jump on them sooner rather than later as they will likely move quickly.

Here is what we have:

3.68V 94AH Samsung NMC Prismatic Cells

As many probably know, these are some of the best cells on the market. They are used across the market in a variety of ESS applications and EV's including (but not limited to) the BMW i3. Tesvolt rates their lifespan at 30 years (8000 cycles) to 70% remaining capacity in an ESS application.

These are (IMHO) as almost as safe as the average LFP cells. Attached is Samsung's PDF detailing the safety of the cell and the overall specs.

NMC cells also tend to stay in balance much easier than LFP cells or at least that has been our experience so far.

By default, they will come with 6MM x 14MM threaded studs/posts but you can request 6mm welded nuts instead if you prefer.

Busbars are included in the price, 1 per cell.

I would have included videos of them being tested and packed but the forum won't let me upload them.

We're currently selling these for $60 per cell delivered. That's the total cost per cell to your door (DDP) if you're in the USA. If you're outside the USA, feel free to message me anyway as I'm sure we can work something out.

Lead times these days are impossible to predict but I'm going to say somewhere in the 60 to 90 days range.

You can buy them directly here:

Or you are welcome to message to start an order but unfortunately time is extremely limited so I apologize in advance for any delayed responses!

New folks--> These are NOT 3.2V LIFEPO4 this is NMC which is 3.6+ nominal
FYI--

These do not work well with 12V systems 4s config at 4.16V charge = 16.64V charge which is too high for most 12V inverters. Also most standard BMS/Chargers are setup for 16.8V

HOWEVER--> These would be good for a 24V system as a 7s Configuration would work nicely...

Just an update: We are moving these quickly and the batch we had in the warehouse is gone! We're getting more stock in (from the liquidation of a bankrupt EV manufacturer) but the price is up slightly on the new stock. Now $62 per cell. I suggest if anyone would like some that you may want to jump on them sooner than later!

If you want more than 100, order them below. Our payment processor tops out at 99 per single order so this link is set for $124 per set of 2 cells + busbars:

For those that bought any, here are updates on the cells and the orders on the floor! The photos are during the welding stage. Next is packing back into Samsung OEM cartons. Large orders ship out on pallets.

Everything you see here is purchased and will be shipping out soon but we have more available.

Here is a video of them being packed back into the original Samsung OEM cartons:

So did anyone on the board buy these? Just wondering how they worked out and what configuration you put them in.

Orders are on the way out (hundreds of cells) but due to sea/freight shipping, it's going to be about 60+ days probably before they are in hand and tested to those who ordered so far.

I recently received 550 cells on two pallets. Came in securely stacked in factory boxes. Molded trays of 4 cells per layer. 16 cells per box.
Took a long time, but received updates and tracking information. I plan to sell at retail to a specific market, and can sell a case of 16 shipped FedEx conus, retail priced, if someone wanted quick samples.

We have tons more of these in stock with more on the way. Depending on the quantity, the price can go down as far as $48 per cell. Huge variety of LiFePO4 as well.

Colorist: Are the assembled packs NMC also?
I have been meaning to answer this! Yes, the ones shown above are the exact same Samsung 94AH cells. That said, we have plenty of other modules from a variety of manufacturers. LFP and NCM. Here are some photos:

We also have SVOLT 87AH, 106AH, 126AH & 156AH NCM cells available. The 156AH cells shown below are currently $67 per cell DDP.

Attached is the datasheet for the SVOLT 156AH cells. These are rated against EV applications placing them at 1,500 cycles to 80% remaining capacity when used in 1C charge/discharge applications. From our experience with NCM and plenty of whitepapers floating around, this should increase significantly (3X) when used in low C (low current) storage applications and in particular when only cycled to 80% DoD. That said, extremely low C rates without semi-heavy daily cycling with also slowly degrade the capacity retention so there is a balance. Consider how laptop batteries commonly fade when plugged in all the time with little cycling.

Here are some screenshots from a cycle testing both C rates and DoD from a whitepaper regarding with NCM 523. Whitepaper attached.
