Schneider MPPT 100 programming oddity

I have two Schneider MPPT 100 600 Chargers on my system. Both are on 2.0 build 9 firmware. When I go to Advanced configuration - Charger settings, one of the chargers lets me modify Bulk/Boost Voltage Set Point and Float Voltage Set Point, but the other charger won't let me change these values. There isn't a whole lot of things you can mess with on these chargers and I've compared all the settings closely. What would prevent me from changing this value? (see attached)

Do you have battery comms to the insight? It sort of looks like one is getting voltage settings from comms and the other is not.

You might need to put them in a master/slave configuration if you want them both to observe the comms. The one getting comms being the master.

I don't see anything about master/slave in the MPPT's. EG-4 LL battery comm is established to the Insight Home.

Now that I am looking, I do see where one MPPT is primary and the other is secondary. It must have made that decision when I put them online for the first time because I don't see where that would be set. OK so I have to figure there is no problem then other than it isn't clear to me if the MPPT's are throttling back via BMS SOC reporting or Battery voltage. I'm guessing these things are looking at battery voltage rather than SOC.

Are you talking about the charge mode status? Primary vs Secondary? Like I said make sure under: Configuration->Advanced->Battery Settings battery type is set to custom. Needs to be set on all HVCCs.

Unfamiliar with the acronym HVCC. But if you are referring to Battery Settings on my two MPPT charge controllers they are both set at Custom.

But I do not know how it selected primary vs secondary for charge mode status. ID 4 is primary and ID 5 is secondary so I am guessing either the lowest number or the first controller I brought up online is primary.

But today was another sunny day and it looks like the battery bank went to float at 99% SOC which is what I was aiming for.

You might have already done this, but anyway:
Pages 45-46 in "Conext MPPT 80 and 100 solar charge controller installation guide 990-91319B"
describe setting the device number when there are multiple charge controllers on the same Xanbus network.

I did this w/ my 3 MPPT 100-600, all work well together.

Yes, I numbered my inverters 1 and 2, then left 3 open in case I get a 3rd inverter, then the charge controllers are 4 and 5 with a 6th controller possibly in my future. Thinking ahead!

Please take SSs of the:

1) Insightlocal->Setup->bms setup
2) XWPro->Adv->Battery Settings (on each Inv.)

Sorry, HVCC=High Voltage Charge Controller

Thanks.

If this was the case, the HVCCs would go into standby and you would have a:
Incorrect configuration fault.

Attached are the Insight Home BMS setup and one of the Inverter battery settings. (I verified both are identical).

Bear in mind I am not using the Inverter's battery chargers. (There is no Utility voltage going to the inverters.)

For several months before I got PV up and working, the system was basically a double conversion UPS where I would charge the batteries with a pair of Chargeverters and the Inverters simply turned it back into AC.

On the HVCC I would do a: controls->reset->reset to factory. If the same then reload firmware. If you have Schneider anything it's a lot of resetting to factory or rmaing!
