Schneider XW Pro - End of Sale???

Make sure you are running from a power source other than the Xanbus when you do the firmware upgrade --- bad JuJu to loose power in the middle of the upgrade...
Mine has the 2nd to last update. I don't think I'm going to bother. I'm using it off grid only. One less thing for me to screw up.

With these chargeverter setups, could you then still tell an ags to start the genny? Would funnyness ensue if ac2 never qualified but the chargeverters brought the V up to absorb?
On my old Magnum inverter with ags, I accidentally left the breaker off on my generator, the generator started and ran but since the inverter never got any power it turned the generator back off.
I haven't made that mistake on my XW pro yet but it would be a strange if the ags kept the generator running with no power on ac2, it would mean the generator could run for a very long time for nothing because the batteries would never get to the ags setpoint.

I think it would work fine

I don't have the AGS, if I need generator (ie grid down and battery low or monthly generator test) I manually start and run the CVs

I don't think so

I do use, automatically, my master inverter's AUX port dry contactor to enable grid (I have 2 sold state relays to turn on L1 and L2) to CV at 40v (tesla battery) and bring battery to 43v. After sun charges to 43.5v the contactor is turned off

Edit: found my answers, thanks.

Has anyone ( @BKY2003 @PreciseD ?) here bought the Discover Helios ESS for their Schneider XW yet? I'm curious if it can connect directly to the InsightHome over CAN. It doesn't say anything in the docs, but it does describe a few scenarios with 'supported' inverters systems are able to do direct CAN connect without needing the Lynk 2. Would be great if i can just take 2 or 3 wires and pop them into the 12-pin connector on the Insight for Closed Loop. I'd ideally like to avoid having yet another 300$ box in my system for more cloud garbage.

I purchased the Helios and they have shipped. The Naz salesperson said Discover is working on native communications with the XW6848. So, in the meantime I just went ahead and purchased the Lynk 2.

I also ordered 3 batteries, but I didn't buy the Lynx.. I would rather not introduce another failure point into my system and since I have some time before I get my system all hooked up, I will either run it in open loop comms or hopefully, they have the closed loop figured out.

Tried out the new 6848 this evening for the first time. Ran 3 high bay led lights in the barn and a mini split. No flicker to report at all. Never heard any noise or fan at this point.. Has not been comm., yet just wanted to see if it worked. So far good.

Just waiting on warmer weather to get this mounted in shed. Is it possible to just use it as an inverter without an insight device? My rosie needs an mngp2 to program it but can do basic inversion without one.

Is that standard hex head or security bit torx ? I can't tell 100% from the picture.

Should have been those screws, don't blame AI for misunderstandings LOL, stupid phone.
It looks much better in those close up pictures, thanks for the education.
Show us the screen when you have a moment please.

And yes I love free or cheap shit, I'm an old British person and we had shat all after the second small disagreement. My Mum was happy to get an orange for Christmas.
So yeah I sit on James's shoulder all day parroting bullshit to make him feel good and keep me in free goodies.
I just bought a used Tesla so all the tree hugging Lefty liberals can hate on me as well now.

Is this what he meant by Lowes screws? Pics of eg4 280Ah power pro:

You got Quattro there,
I can attest to those being the screws, The side cover screws are E X T R A long Phillips head but that does keep them from falling off the bit before removing them when pulling the side panels. Really wish EG 4 had placed the screen where the big emblem on the front is , more like the indoor wall mounts. It does make for a clean look though.

More important to me would be the cell quality / longevity. They both seem like really decent battery packs, But with so little time on my Power Pro's I won't be knocking on the Discovery batteries or any others.

In ten years it will be very interesting to Really know what packs end up being a great value.

Congrats On the Tesla.

I don't give a r-ts a-- what anyone thinks of Elon.

The cars can speak for themselves.

I would buy my Model Y Performance again in a heartbeat.

Supercar performance with amazing Practicality, great summer and winter car and a Kick butt stereo too.

What Model and year did you buy?

What Model and year did you buy?
I bought a late 2014 straight 85, no performance, no dual with 104,000 miles on it.
It has the AP1 package on it so can do basic autopilot and summons.
