I have new setup with 2 XW pros, 2 MPPT 100 600 Charge controllers and Ruixu Server Rack with 6 Batteries 17.5 Kw of Trina Panels Bifacial. I am looking for a good starting point to set the charge controllers. Setup is off Grid at the moment. I am also struggling with Communication between batteries and InSight Facility. I followed the steps from Ruixu with Dip switch 7 on with no luck, if I set dip switch 6 on I get Communications but it shuts the Inverters Down. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Joe

55v bulk float and absorb is good enough for anybody if you ask me. Equalization off and I set that to 55v too just in case it ever erroneously enters equalization mode.

I wouldn't bother with comms if it's going to stay off grid. If you're gonna grid charge from the XW's though then yes you'll want them eventually.

I guess I was pretty close I set 56v for Bulk and 54.6 for absorb and float. Grid is available but not sure if we want the hassle with NYSEG in our area.

I am off grid with Xw pro also but I don't have Riuxu batteries, with closed loop its nice to be able to see the bms state of charge on Insight mobile with my phone, or Insight facility with my computer, there can be inconsistencies in the readings vs actual voltage but it's nice to get a rough snapshot of battery condition.
I would continue trying to get it to work

This is my first set of Ruixu batteries, very pleased so far but un able to get them to communicate. Like I said before can see the BMS if I set Dip Switch to 6 up on the Master but it shuts the Inverters down quickly. With 7 up nothing

I tried to look up the closed loop integration for schneider on the Riuxu page but the link is broken. Hopefully someone here has experience with this combination for you

After digging around on the website I finally found the integration guide for the Riuxu battery that included Schneider
Is this what you followed?

I noticed they are indicating to select Undefined as battery type. I can’t find that on my selection window.

I currently have version 1.17 on my older Gateway device. It has the "Undefined" choice in the BMS setup page.

I have been testing different configurations and finally have some progress. This is my procedure.
(Warning ⚠️ this is on my dual XW's with Ruixu Batteries do not try if you have a weak heart)

Step 1 disconnect all slave batteries from master.
Step 2 Flip main Inverter breakers off
Step 3 connect cat5 per Ruixu documentation via can to Schneider Insight
Step 4 Turn Master battery off and set DIP Switch 7 off or down flip DIP switch 6 on or up yes DIP 6 on
Step 5 Turn master battery on
Step 6 Turn inverter breakers back on and wait. After a few seconds maybe 30 inverters will come back on.
At this point it will show 2 pylontech BMS. One shows information the other nothing. In setup screen under BMS it says pylontech us2000 for the batteries.
So far this is the only way to get SOC with the XW I have found

I am chasing a new problem and was wondering if anyone else has seen it, finally got proper communication with Ruixu batteries and everything has been working as you would expect. Then today got a

Battery Over Temperature Warning. Battery temperature is over 50 deg C.Solution: Check battery voltage and battery cable connections. Stop Charging, if necessary. Check for excessive ambient temperature and adequate ventilation in the battery compartment.

Batteries are 11.5 Celsius the room they are in is about 50 degrees nothing is hot cables are all good. Schneider told me to unplug the battery sensors:rolleyes:

I told them they have never been plug in LOL I tried clearing the Warning and reboot but no good. any ideas?

Something had to report the high temp. Did it come from a BMS temp sensor or was it from a Schneider bat temp sensor? Under the older firmware, my Schneider temp sensor on the XW-Pro reported a good temp in the XW-Pro status page, but it does not report anywhere else. And on the new 2.04 firmware, I can't find the XW-Pro battery temp sensor being reported anywhere.

I would suggest looking at the BMS data from each battery box and see if any of them are reporting a high temp. It is possible for a temp sensor to fail, and it is also possible for a single loose bus bar to get hot and trip a single sensor. If any sensor is reading high, find that sensor and verify the temp it is measuring to be sure. Never ignore a high temp warning without checking the sensor reporting the error.

I checked in the Ruixu Bms Software app and all batteries are in the 10 to 12 degree Celsius range battery voltage is 52.7 at the moment. I disconnected the BMS and rebooted both inverters and power cycled the batteries. with no communication with the batteries I get the same message not sure every connection and wire is cold to touch. Tech support had me set the Temp coefficient to 0 degrees Celsius.

I wonder if your BMS is communicating cell temps in F when the Schneider is receiving the data in C. Seems like about the only possiblity. I'd complain to Riuxu.

I think what Schneider was getting at with the temp warning is that, "well, it isn't my (Schneider's) temp sensor, so there's nothing I can do about it"

I did complete reset with the batteries this morning which shut down the inverters for 5 minutes. And change DIP Switch 7 to off and DIP Switch 6 to on. BMS showed up as Pylontech BMS. I found a new website post on Ruixu site that now is saying to set 6 on and 7 off for Schneider. Not sure but it's been 24 hours without a problem.

Pylontech seems to be some sort of de-facto data standard on several units now. Even some of the newer DIY friendly BMS units allow you to set them to use the Pylontech protocol over RS-485 or CAN.

This is about the only standard standard we have.

Well everything went great for 4 days no problems until today at 2:13pm got another Battery over temp sensor warning I am attaching a screen shot and you can see at that time the temp spiked to 13.0 Celsius no where near 50c. but not sure why it spiked either. Also seems to be about the time it reached 100% SOC
