Hope Growatt USAService has improved.. 3+ years dealing with them has been a joke. Growatt USA as well China Directly, worse support ever. Good equipment, worthless service.. GOOD LUCK, Jess, you should be able to get better support from Growatt via Francis than any customer.. been my experience.

I've found their service to be fantastic. Get through in a few minutes, and Matthew and James are great.

Yes, and they pick and choose who they want to be fantastic with.. and if you have any parallel skill or knowledge, they resent it. They act like they are the only ones that know anything and do not listen or want to listen to what you have to contribute...only they know it ALL..
So consider yourself lucky.. I wouldn't givem /Growatt the time of day, of which I did for 3+ years.

I have dealt with both of them, if you clearly and patiently communicate you question or problem to them they do their job well. Never call any technical support organization and insist on telling them what needs done to fix the problem- give them the problem, the symptoms and any other information they ask for - refrain from trying to impress them with what YOU know, let them impress you, remember you are calling to get their help, not other way around.

My limited interaction with Growatt support has been positive as well. While they haven’t solved the issue I’m having, it’s not their fault that Growatt shipped the units without support to do what I want.

A lot of unnecessary burden is placed on Growatt support by the poor quality of their documentation. Compare it to Sol-Ark or the latest EG4 manuals and its night and day.

It’s all Chinglish, just what variety of Chinglish is the difference

Language can be a barrier from Chinese / English, it does have its issues. Like split phase, some Chinese call a L1 120v and L2 240v w/N Split phase titled, yet in reality it is Single phase, you can have 120v or 240v but no leg L1 L2 120v to be combined to make 240v as we are in USA. But yet they will call it split phase for what I described above.

Yes, there is a language barrier, but that is not the primary problem.
Growatt’s documentation is absolutely atrocious. The Growatt equipment I have is very good quality and well designed, if the documentation was top notch it would be easy for a DIY’er to see that and able to make it do everything it’s capable of.

Agree 100%. Well documented use cases are very sparce!
