Seplos CAN BUS RS485 48v 200A 8S-16S BMS

unfortunatly the seplos bms only supports pylontech over canbus ( untill they update their firmware)
the rs485 is only meant for pc connections and their management software.

the voltronic's/mpp solar pylontech protocol only uses the rs485 port, while their bms port is a dual canbus/rs485 , they have disabled the canbus part on it, and as they stated, the canbus status so far is "reserved"

i've asked my supplier to push voltronic a bit the enable the canbus, but supplier had little hope he would be able to get it done.

at the same time , i have been pushing seplos to update their firmware to support the pylontech over one of the rs485 ports, but thus far i havent seen any movement.

as i suggested to @Sanwizard in a pm, it might help if more people start pushing seplos to do so , as i believe it will be easier to get seplos to move rather than voltronic/mpp-solar
i also believe the change would be smaller for seplos to do so in their firmware, since they have both canbus and rs485 active already
@Seplos Chris Ren, are you taking note of these requests? I will have 6 of your BMS's once they finally show up, and myself and many others would appreciate comms with MPP Solar. Please advise.

RS-485 does not define a communication protocol
so i think you cant communicate over that port at all never
so even if you ask seplos to change to rs485 they cant do it hopefully i am wrong

and i very well know what the phy layers are.
but again, this is a dual identity port, so i suspect the port is connected to both a serial and canbus chip, where they have disabled the can bus for what ever reason.

my point exactly on why to pursuade the bms manufactorer to update their firmware.
the bms had both active and present, it just that their itteration of the pylontech protocol now only runs on their canbus port

Just noticed this oddity on their wiring diagram. Anybody know what to make of this? Do they want me to connect the positive to more than one of the terminals for some reason?

Are they worried that one of the lugs can't carry enough current through the board?
Yes, one terminal cannot carry enough current. You're supposed to connected all the terminals with P+,P-

Also , my inverters ( 8000MAX ) don't seem to have any new firmware avail. , unlike the 7200max
The 7200max is what MPP rebranded as the LV6548 correct? I know MPP derated it for some reason, but dunno why.

i dont think it is, as the max series only came out as 230v single fase, but i could be wrong here

this is the max series by voltronic :
but that page is outdated, as i am missing my 8k max's

i think the lv6548 is the king II series :
