Hi guys, I'm thinking of setting up my motorhome roof with panels connected in
SERIES AND PARALLEL !

My motorhome roof will can take ;
4x 120 watt panels
My mppt is a epever tracer 40amp (520watt max). So I'm near to maxing volts and amps.

Anybody currently do this?
Good /bad experience?/results?

So, I'm guessing that they are wired as 2S2P.
What is the VOC of the panels? And what is the maximum voltage for the SCC?

With all of the shade-producing things on a typical RV roof, do make sure that each pair of series panels will not experience regular partial shading. Depending on shading issues you may be better off putting the 4 panels in parallel. If you do end up putting them all in parallel then you need to fuse all 4 panels and depending on the resulting amperage you might need a combiner box.

Many any many people do this when they have 4 panels. With great results.

The key though, as asked by timsemectric, is whether a 2x your panel Voc is under your SCC max input voltages(adjusted for temperature, colder makes more volts).
