Paralleling LIPO batteries - How?
I have two sets of 24v 90A/hr batteries, one old, one new, and want to connect them in parallel.
Should I connect the negative to the second battery B- or to the P- ?
And does it make a big difference ?
Will each battery's BMS take care of its own and not interfere with the second battery?
Or should I take them apart and make up a 2P8S battery with one BMS monitoring all the cells?
They are identical batteries, but not necessarily all matched cells of course...
I could put all the cells in parallel first to balance them and then make the 2P8S battery pack and charge it fully.
