I accessed your website.
I would not purchase a battery where I could not download a user manual for the battery.
I would not purchase a battery where the type of BMS and communication protocol was not disclosed.
I would not purchase a battery where there was no blue-tooth or RS485/CAN communication protocol documentation.
I would not purchase a battery where there was no computer software to monitor the battery and upgrade the firmware available for download by the end user.

The battery I specifically looked at was the "Deep cycle lifepo4 battery pack 48V 100Ah outdoor communication base station solar wind system" "Model NO.: DL-48V 100AH"

Hi Marionw,

Thank you for your follow-up

our batteries are mainly customized according to customers' requirement

We mainly promote our products on Alibaba platform, so we rarely update our website, That's what we didn't do well

our batteries come with RS485/CAN communication protocol and also has a computer software to monitor the battery and support to upgrade,We just didn't upload it to the website, we will send you if you need

This DL-48V 100AH" battery is an old model, we have a new module 48V 100ah with RS485/CAN communication, please kindly check this product link

Thanks for the reply.
I (and others as well) need to be able to read the manual to determine what inverters the batteries will work with and/or if the batteries will integrate with existing equipment. What type of cable connections are there and how do the batteries connect to each other. I need to be able to load the software on windows (even if I don't have the batteries) to determine the quality of the software and whether the software provides the ability to upgrade firmware. Is Solar Assistant able to monitor the batteries and is Solar Assistant able to monitor the batteries while in closed loop communications with the inverter. Lots of important questions folks would like to know to make an informed decision prior to purchase

Folks need to be able to evaluate a product prior to purchase

Hello Hony, (Delong Sales Manager). I purchased three of your 10kWh stackable LiFePo battery packs, recvd here in New Zealand in January 2023. I have had an ongoing problem with the packs getting "out-of-balance", pack to pack. That is, the pack SOC% has been as high as 20% different between the packs. This creates a problem because when the packs are being charged the BMS in the #1 pack sends the HIGHEST SOC% value of the three packs to the inverter/charger, (Growatt SPF5000ES), but when the batteries are discharging the BMS sends the LOWEST SOC% to the inverter/charger.

If the inverter sees the batteries SOC drop down to 20%, the inverter automatically shuts down, ie; no power supply to my house. However at this time according the the individual pack displays, two of them still have 40% SOC, thereby stopping me from using 20% of their stored energy. I have supplied photo proof of this happening to your Delong Service Dept on multiple occasions, but I haven't received a resolution yet. They sent me a new version of the BMS firmware, which I installed, but it has not solved the problem. They also have asked me if they can remotely connect to my PC connected to the #1 pack, but that was many weeks ago, and after lots of emails to which I have had no replies, I am very disappointed in the Delong Support Team.

I have even copied copied you directly at your own email address Hony: battery001@delongbattery.com, so you should be very much aware of the email trail, and have even seen the photo proof yourself, but you have never responded to me. I am hoping that by raising awareness to this lack of support from Delong in this open forum, it will get your support people to respond to me.

Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately "Hony" hasn't been active in months, maybe phony to begin with...

I'd recommend you disable your BMS communications, set a bulk charge ~55.2V and float ~54.8V. Run like that for a week and see how things behave.

Wow! That worries me 42OhmsPA. I have had no responses to my emails to Delong Support for over a month now. Does anyone know if their company is still trading? Their website is still up:

but no-one is even answering the phone.

Same with me. I originally bought from Alibaba and managed to get in contact through the 'messages' section there, and then 'Susan' there prodded tech support and I got some replies.

But once it became obvious the packs were dead tech support said they weren't going to honour any warranty and they stopped replying again. I've had limited success sacrificing one pack to replace the dead cells in some others, but it's hard work as they're very badly made.

If anyone's interested this is the thread

How are your packs going a few months on?

Thanks for the reply.
