I am wondering about dropping in LiFePO4 batteries to replace lead acid batteries on my Lance TT. What modifications need to be done to allow shore power charging (with the existing system) of the new batteries for now, while I get up to speed on specs and cost of upgrading to solar panels?
Many thanks in advance!

Or you need to check the specifications on your existing converter and confirm their charging profiles are compatible. Many stock converters perform perfectly acceptably with LFP.

I have found that most only charge the lifepo4 batteries to 50%, even in the $100k+ 5th wheels and motor homes. Very rarely do they actually output 14.6~ volts for an extended period of time.

Has nothing to do with the converters. Has everything to do with the shoddy wiring in most RVs causing massive voltage drop and early charge termination. Same thing happens with a "LFP" specific converter.
