I am planning a 24v system & I'd like to save some cash by using some of the existing hardware I've collected over the years.

My main concern is this old Xantrax Trace DR3624 I have. It's a 3600w 24v charger Inverter
Does anyone know if this would work fine for an Inverter just to get me by?

Should I upgrade to a better 24v Inverter.
Obviously newer is better but I need to save money where I ca.

I have a midnite classic 150v mppt charger which outputs 12/24/48

I'll be using 3 Canadian Solar panels

Watts (STC) 340 W

max power volts VMpp 37.8 v - x 3 = 113.4
max power current ImpP 9.0 A
open current voltage Voc 44.5 v - x3 = 133.5
Short circuit current ISC 9.57 A
Max system Voltage 1000 v

Does anyone have advice about why not to use the older dr3624 Inverter?

It should work fine. Take note of "Problem Loads" starting on page 4-3 of the inverter manual.
