$588 MPP HV2424 All-In-One
$1881 4.4kwh 2x12v bigbattery LiFePO4 (24v would be $300 less, but i have old 12v inverters..)
$650 13 used Solarworld 285w panels (3yr old 257w PTC),
may config 3s3p+2s2p w/old epever mppt
=$3119+some wire and mount parts

Ordered a dual-inverter AC unit to keep the current flowing, may perm. mount panels.

I cringe a bit seeing all that diy then buying pre-made batteries though.

A bit over 2k will get you a thousand AH of 12v batteries if you diy it. If you really need to cut it a bit for a decent bms or 4 you could still get 700+ ah.

But that's a mostly trivial point and the rest of it is nifty. I'm half tempted to do that myself after seeing it.
 
Right on - pretty amazing isn't it? Imagine the grunt you'd have to put on that dolly if those were lead-acid! :)

Still, investigate something like straps rather than bungie cords.

If those panels are going to get more or less placed on the ground, watch out for the bottom edge of the panels getting shadowed by grass. Especially late in the afternoon as shadows lengthen. Couple inches of elevation goes a long way.
