Signature solar horrible customer service

I honestly have no clue why it went viral. I thought the video of the crow attacking my X5 and ripping the turn signal off the fender was a more interesting video :)

Al Bundy always loved the magazine Big Unns… thanks for being so thoughtful… He and Sonny Crockett were the epitomy of the 80’s Male … and Tubbs too. ..?

I respectfully think I have somehow drifted off of the OP topic… im just going to bed… bye..

So what was your bad experience with us?

You want me to really put it on this forum?

I just recieved the email today from the "resolution specialist."

I find Signature Solar's terms unacceptable.

The majority of the people on this forum that have negative things to say about us have never made a single purchase here.

I did spend my money with Signature Solar and it has not been pleasant.

I wish I had installed the 2 LV6548's I had purchased before the EG4 6500EX's and just installed some higher voltage SCC's instead.

The product had potential, it works well for the most part. The problems? The flickering lights with the crappy output voltage regulation on both units is unacceptable. The sine wave shows these have dirty power. Have you seen the videos?

There are absolutely a few that slip through the cracks, but those are the outliers and the reason I try and watch these threads. People aren't coming to the forums to say great things normally, only when they have a negative experience. So it's going to seem overwhelmingly negative. The customer support here is very good and the vast majority of the issues we deal get resolved quickly. Sometimes people don't like our policies,

Right now I might just eat the cost of these 2 inverters. But Signature Solar will never see another dollar of mine and I certainly would not recommend Signature Solar if I do eat the cost. And I don't have a "gag order" in effect if I do.

but they check a box agreeing to them before we ever accept a payment from them.
Selling products known to have faults, which the owner of Signature Solar has admitted to in these forums might be considered.......well, I'll let you guess.

It's not just the support. It is part of the problem. These units were not tested before release, and if the units were tested, Signature Solar did not hold the OE manufacturer to an ISO standard. Then, to add to customer dissatisfaction, we have the "policies".

You seem like a nice guy Ben, trying to help people and smooth things over. If I were you, I'd warm up my resume and move on. The ship seems to be taking on water. It's listing pretty bad at this point.

It made a good bit for awhile its dropped of allot now. I was getting like $450 a month for a bit.
But heeyyy 450.00 , that’s 4 new Renogy panels and some extra little parts… yer lucky, I haven’t made anything ,on any thing ,doing anything…for anybody……I’m not worthy…

I appreciate the feedback, honestly. The goal is to get a little better every day. At the end of the day our commitment is to try and improve the experience of our customers. I want to see this through and make things right for you. If we cannot solve the issues you are having, we do not want you to eat the cost of the inverters and I certainly don't want that considered to be a gag order!

We're striving to improve in every way, from products to service. James is a man who cares far more about improving the viability of solar for every budget than he does putting a few extra dollars in his pocket.

To your comment of getting a resume ready... I'm more focused on helping do my part to make this the place people are sending their resumes. I've never been a part of an organization that cares more about their employees and customers than this one.

There have been bumps and bruises along the way, as I'm sure there will be more. But we won't stop getting better until we see all the problems that are addressed on these forums get answers. Even if it just means being more well equipped to answer the phones! I love this industry, this company, and the great deal of knowledge shared on this forum on a daily basis. @Will Prowse is helping grow the solar community through this open sharing of ideas and I'm certainly here for it.

Sorry if that got off topic a little. But I just want you to know, it will never hurt my feelings to read a negative post. I see those as opportunities for SS to learn and grow. I just want to see you get a solution that works so you can continue your journey into energy independence!

Well crafted message (very positive). Having said that @Zwy is correct, you are best off looking for another job.

That is nothing, had you made a more informative video like how to throw a sock on the floor it would have had 20x the views:

:)

Looking back two years ago and what Signature Solar’s website looks like today, the difference is amazing. The growth must be overwhelming. I work at an established company and we can’t find people to just maintain our current levels let alone expand. Only one in ten people that HR finds pan out. Signature looks to be in a small town which may not render a large crop to choose from. Now imagine you find a great employee, now imagine how long it’ll take to get them up to speed on solar tech and the next new model. Growing pains hell. Agony!
