Silicon Oxide Batteries

New to the group, so I apologize if this topic has been covered. Wondering if anyone has had any experience with Silicon Oxide batteries? I live just outside of Toronto Canada, so it gets cold up here and I'm looking for a 100amp hr battery for our '88 VW Westy. The price is right and the spec's, especially in cold weather, look interesting, but I'm afraid of what I don't know. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

At least it has handles. Something about those $950 batteries that don't come with a strap unless you give them 7 dollars more really bugs me.
