I understand there is some 1.25x or 1x rule of thumb for sizing inverters? I have 3 main questions:
I ask as it looks like Ill have on the order of 15KW @ STC, or 12KW @ PTC of microinverters/panels, and am trying to figure out how to handle the ac-coupling. if possible id rather stack multiple units to distribute out points of failure
- Is that *only* referencing the inverters the PV panels use?
- Does this also apply to the ac-coupled inverter if there is ac-coupled battery storage?
- Does this 1.25x or 1x thing also have a bearing on battery capacity?
