Most of the web says SLA AGM batteries are safe for indoor use. Assuming normal indoor living space and temperature are there any safety concerns?

The main issue is explosion, and by main I mean the most dangerous, not the most frequent. Unless there is something terribly terribly wrong with the charging process there should not be sufficient hydrogen release from an AGM battery in a normal sized room to produce an explosive mix. Inside a battery box, things are different which is why battery boxes should always be ventilated.

https://www.dnrme.qld.gov.au/busine...ns/mines-safety/exploding-lead-acid-batteries - obviously a bit different to a house but gives some background on why batteries explode.

Thank you. This is only for temporary use in a power outage, no box, just bare battery. It’s charging in the garage and I’ll bring it in for discharging/inverter use.
