Smart Shunt Question

I'm sure I'm just looking over something so I thought I would run this by the experts.

So, I have a Victron Smart Shunt that between my 12v lithium battery and my inverter. When the inverter is on, and the battery is discharging everything seems to be running and looks good on the app. When the battery discharges and I turn off the inverter the smart shunt doesn't show the battery recharging. I have the solar panels connected to a Victron 150/60 MPPT and running directly to the battery. The issue I'm having is that the shunt isn't showing the battery recharging even there is no draw on the battery. Should it? I would think it should...

the shunt should show the voltage climbing if the mppt controller is putting amps into the battery, it may not show the AH going up, if you wired the mppt controller to the battery side of the shunt, it should be on the load side with everything else if you want it to track the AH going back into the battery.

Yeah, it's connected to the battery. I just moved the wires to the shunt lets see if that fixes the issue.
