So this is how low humans have sunk !!!

What do you mean by it is fake?
It's a real show on TLC.
The show is real insofar as they recorded and broadcast it and it has actors, the rest is staged and fake.

You do know when you see these reality tv shows like the guy who goes out and survives on his own that there's an entire tv crew behind the camera right?

OHMYGAWD!!!!!!! Stop, next you'll be telling me there's no Easter Bunny or Santa Claus!!!

It is the moral implications for everyone breaking down as much as if it is real or not. Same as the man boy lovers hooked onto the gay movement. . They were originally shunned by the gay movement. Guess what the man boy lovers are making their moves... to be lawful and confirmed.... minor gay sex.... right towards sodom Gomorrah reality

it is a break down in society and showing degradation to that effect is effective for promoting it. That..... was very difficult to get out.... probably clear as mud.

Why do you think it was actors?
Most reality shows use ordinary people. Shows like Survivor, Amazing race and others are cast from regular folks submitting videos of themselves and filling out online Application forms.
Do you have some proof that this was any different?

Well yeah, someone has to operate the cameras and figure out what to film. I think Survivor has well over 100 crew members.

There is a survival series on History Channel called "Alone". The filming is supposedly done by the individuals and no crews are involved, and it certainly seems like this is the case. While the participants do get periodic checks by medical staff they are otherwise on their own. It is probably the most difficult survival scenario since the challenge not only involves finding food and making shelter but also dealing with being alone for a long period of time.

The participants are given some basic help in the form of a tarp, basic archery equipment and about 6 or so arrows, a knife, snare wire, and a sleeping bag.

I find it interesting that the women seem to do better than the men overall, and I think it has a lot to do with making a shelter that is comfortable to live in, and coming up with things to do to keep busy when food is not an issue.

I have watched one or two episodes of it but while I agree that they do seem to be alone but my business senses are telling me that for legal reasons they probably have people there just in case something really bad happens.

It has been my experience that women are much better than men when it comes to handling pain and suffering, especially when it’s an on going situation.

If its anywhere on mainstream tv, you can be 100% sure that its a narrative that is being sold to you, and someone is paying for the message.

Is that a joke or are you being serious?

That's a bit like saying "If you walk outside, you can be 100% sure the oxygen you breath was created by a plant"

If you believe anything on mainstream TV, the joke is on you.

That doesn't even make sense.

This is because you are not thinking.
Turn off your TV (step number 1) and mass media. There is a reason why its called TV Programs. They are programing you.
Start analyzing all the nuances and following cuo bono.

I haven't watched television for almost 20 years.. No antenna, no subscription tv.

The reason its called a TV Program is because the broadcast order of what is shown must be created days ahead of time in order to maximize efficiency.
When they launch a rocket, they have a countdown to show the general public, but the engineers refer to it as a "launch program". T Minus 24 hours, water systems check, T Minus 1 hours, fueling completed, T Minus 60 seconds, switch to onboard computers, etc etc.

In the context of television, a program is a series of events just like a rocket launch, each commercial advertisement is planned at a specific time and to last a specific amount of time.

That said, turning off your television is a good idea.. Do like us and turn it off permanently unless you load something on a USB drive to watch a movie.

The participants have satellite phones to use in case of emergency or when they just can't take it anymore and decide to tap out.

But I like using my antenna to pick up free OTA programs... Lots of good educational stuff on WVIA like Nature, Ask This Old House, This Old House, countless cooking shows, that woodworking show (something craftsman I think) and many more. I enjoyed watching playing jeopardy until Alex passed ?.
Oh and some of the old westerns on grit are great.
I'm certain I grew up in the wrong generation at the young age of 34...

Totally agree with you. I hear this "I have thrown out the TV" stuff a lot on Ham Radio Forums and it makes zero sense to me.
It implies to me that one feels they are not smart enough to pick up on the BS so the solution is to not trust anything.

There are tons of good things to watch on TV. Hell if you want to stick your head back into 1960 to early 90s then they Have "Cozi TV" channel that only shows old shows.

Anybody who talks about "Programming" as in the sense of agenda driven and the only way to save yourself is to throw out the TV, has evidently been unplugged for to long. The days of people sitting down and Watching the big four or HBO etc are just about DEAD!
Even this week some bad news is coming out of Dish-network, that implies it may be folding and Directv is just about dead also.

Everything today is about streaming shows. People are smart enough to see when things are Agenda driven and if it's not their cup of tea they pick another show out of the thousands to choose from. Lots of Stuff is on there to suit anyone's taste or desire for non political or Woke or non Woke messaging. The remote is a wonderful invention.

Watch the show 1883 and come back and then tell me if you still think there are no good shows on TV.

In a sense, you are correct about the "not smart enough" part. But it's not a personal or individual thing, it's a biological limitation you can't do anything about. There are people who are gifted, but most of us are not.

The human brain can only pay attention to 7 things at once.. and even that is a massive effort. So while you may know there is manipulation going on and be aware of it as a defensive mechanism, you won't be able to completely stop it without intense training.

So yeah, the only way to stop it is to avoid it. In a sense, its a bit like drugs... you know they're bad for you, you know they're addictive, you know what kind of damage they can do.. but if you do drugs, even being aware of the dangers, those bad things are still going to happen.

I'm just saying..

I did watch it.. well. about 2 or 3 minutes.
I don't watch any reality tv because it is, well, unrealistic. And after checking out what the controversy is, I won't be watching that one either.

Perhaps I missed something? Maybe you could spell it out for me as to what part I missed that you have a problem with, and what specifically is the problem in your opinion.
For those who don't watch it, https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2023/feb/03/milf-manor-reactionary-sexist

And for porn in general.

If you do want to get upset about something, I suggest do something about child brides...

I really don't give a rats a$$ what two consenting adults do.. none of my business.. The whole milf dating son thing is kind of gross to me, but then so are anchovies and fish eggs.

Children however, are not mature enough to make those choices.
