Attached is my rough in plan for the A/C side.
I am wondering on how to actually get the A/C from the transfer switch back into the house. Currently the mains go from the meter through the wall directly into the main panel.
Is it allowed by the NEC for the output from the transfer switch to re-enter the meter box and go through that existing hole, (so that I don't have to put a new hole in the house and a large hole my 2x4 to get back into the main panel? I attached the type of meter I have below. There should be physical room in the box to allow this to happen.
