I have a client building a 3x5, 6 foot tall (1.8 m) outdoor closet on the exterior of their house for their Sol-Ark 15k, 5k 2p, and four to eight Yixiang 280 AH 48 volt DIY battery boxes. I believe it will be on the north side of the house. I'm a little worried the closet will get too hot in the summer on 100 F degree days. I know the Sol-Ark is rated for the outdoors. My 15k has never gotten too hot in my unconditioned basement in the summer, but I have a wall of earth as a heat sink for the space. At a minimum I'll have my client build a perforated soffit to help the small roof for the closet breathe. That's pretty standard for the South Eastern United States as things are humid. He also plans to install theromstat controlled fans. Ultimately I think we'll be fine but I'm curious what other think.

So, what have Sol-Ark owners experienced in terms of summer time heat with their 15k inverters in unconditioned spaces such as above ground garages or outdoor sheds?

PS we went with Yixiang version 2 boxes that have heat pads inside to keep the LFP blue brick warm in the winter.760642327.jpg

How about insulation in that small space and put a low voltage fan in the top and vent the botton to get some flow thru air
on second thought that space is just two small and to hot.

Heat is primarily a function of the load.

Random example would look like this: 10kW x 95% efficient (my guess at the SolArk's efficiency)= 500 watt of waste heat.

Would you want five 100 watt bulbs in that space?

Most likely would be fine for 10 minutes every so often, but 6 hours in row probably not.

This mounted near the top or at the inside top of the cabinet and the Filter matted to a Hole near the bottom section of the Cabinet.
Program in Set temperature and the Variable speed fan will ramp up and down depending on how hot it is inside the Cabinet.
