They responded finally! Told him thanks for responding, we had bets on DIY solar forums if they would respond or not 
His suggestion was to go open loop on the batteries which was my next step. Told him all good now, but did question why wasn't the Sol-Ark giving me any errors when it was shutting off.
So 6 days basically was the turn around time.
