I just got a small 2kw array added to my Sol Ark 12k. Looking at the settings available, I can't seem to figure out the correct combination of settings to fully leverage all of the power out of the solar panels without pulling power from the grid. The Sunsynk training manual has a comment that battery first should not be selected. So I have load first selected. This means if the load is less than the (potential) total solar output, the output is throttled by the inverter thus wasting energy.

Is there a combination of settings that will allow power to be prioritized to the loans first and send the remaining power to my batteries?

I set my Sol-Ark 8K to charge the battery first. Can't speak to the daily weather at all locations, but here it usually clouds up in the afternoon (if its in the forecast to do so), that way the battery will have charge available should an grid outage occur.
