I know some of you got the same eMail that I got, but for those who did not get one, here is the Notice.

Dear Customer

We’re conducting scheduled platform maintenance from January 20th through Tuesday night, January 22nd. While we’ve planned for minimal disruption, you may experience brief interruptions during this time.

Our Sol-Ark technical support team is actively monitoring the process to ensure updates go smoothly.

Should you experience any issues following the update (after January 22nd), please contact our support team for assistance at support@mysolark.com.

Best regards,
The Sol-Ark Team

I'm assuming they're talking about their solarkcloud software and/or platform and not something to do with the functionality of the inverter. But, it would have been nice if they'd have mentioned if it was an app update or a backend hardware change.

Server maintenance. It might effect the MySolArk App and Portal.

Why?
That was a complete App and Server change. This is just server maintenance.

Hopefully they don't brick more inverters complete everything in a timely fashion.
When have they ever bricked an Inverter?
My App is still working fine, I don't even think this maintenance has caused any problems for customers.

I have a 4 x 12k off-grid Solark system and have been reviewing the setting for the inverters through the new web site and
all form fields, for the most part, have crazy values. The system is going up and down and I will have to go to the off-grid location today to pull it offline. I think this latest upgrade may have messed up the modbus register maps between the 12k and 15k. That is the only thing I can think of that would cause this. Anybody else having problems with this latest maintenance?

You beat me to it.
Do not change any of your settings using the Website today. Today the 22 of January they seem to be revamping the Website and most settings are either missing or have weird numbers in them. Do not change or save any settings

My micro inverter/AC coupled panels don't show generation on the updated software. They contribute to the overall generation total of the system, but the individual generation is gone.

Don't change anything online or in the app. I noticed my setting were FUBAR early this morning and tried to fix them in the app. Then spent the next hour on the phone with them doing factory resets to get the thing operational. Just leave it be and ignore the APP for now. Don't try to "fix" anything except on the physical unit.

I contacted Sol-Ark customer service and they stated:

Good morning
We currently experiencing some issues with our MSA App/Website. Did the settings for your Inverter change at the Inverter as well?

I'm not going to make any changes to the app/website as my actual inverter has the correct settings. Following Armorer266's advice and leave it alone for now till they fix their app.

So they are letting end users write junk information to their inverters ? Fabulous.
The level of incompetence from Solark with their software is astonishing.
Who can continue to fanboy them ?????
At least we haven't read any reports of them adjusting settings on the wrong inverter when trying to help someone with issues.
Someone must really be treating you right.

You really have to confirm in the real world all software changes. My equipment works well over-all, but the GEN is GRID, and GRID is GEN in the solar assistant integration. I don't worry too much about it, but rather document things, and most of all confirm the reality of the situation any time a change is made.

So as long as someone is doing worse than Solark, the Fanboys continue to sing 🎶
Da da da da da we can't hear you 🤣
Sometimes I consider myself a negative person, or a realist, then I see posts like this.

Being happy with the very stable equipment we purchased is not a crime! I know I spent a bit more for similar tech, but it's hard to beat in my opinion. One box, 200 amp pass through, handles huge loads, has decent support. So far so good.

You can like or trash any product you like, but unfortunately you have no control over what I like :)

Thanks for the heads up! Unfortunately, not knowing this, I changed some settings yesterday on the app! Luckily, they did not change on the Solark. However, my output is a mere 500W/hr all day today (confirmed by Tigo monitoring) no matter what settings I change on Solark screen. Hopefully, it will correct soon.

The Sol-Ark settings done on the LCD are the settings the Inverter is using. Are you sure the settings on the LCD are all correct?
