As it turns out, they weren't needed. My system is configured with the Sol-Ark between the grid and my panel. There's no sub panel and all loads pass through the Sol-Ark. I switched the mode to grid selling... despite the fact that I'm not selling, and it reads the grid consumption, solar, and load correctly now.
