So I was screwing around trying to get RS485 to communicate with EG4-6000xp's and SA. I deleted the connections to the inverters and now I can't re-add them. The IP addresses refuses to fill in after a scan. My inverter IP's are all reserved starting at 192.168.1.95. I have the wifi dongles back in and the EG4 web monitor works just fine.
Any ideas ? I have rebooted the pi many times. After it scans nothing shows up in the IP.

I know when I first set up SA on my 6000xp, I had to manually add the IP at first because it didn’t find anything when scanning.

You did remove the rs485 cable from the 6000xp, right?

Yep no 485 cable, how did you manually add the ip's ?, there is no field to do so

I have had this happen.

I think it goes like this.

Just hit scan, go to the previous page. Wait a minute or so, - under inverter look at your connections box, select what you want.

I have never see the screenshot page populate. It updates after a successful connection.

Sorry, I must have been thinking about adding the logger info.

Have you tried removing one and re-adding the logger/inverter serials manually? One thing to note is I believe they're case sensitive.

The ONLY way I can see is to add them manually. Using the latest beta version of SA, maybe there is a bug in it ???

Yes, removed the connections, now there is no way to add them back with IP addresses. :fp2
Yeah, as I mentioned earlier, I misspoke. I think you have to manually add with the logger info and then it separately looks for that on the network.

My router 192.168.1.xxx. It worked fine for 2 years, no changes to the router.
The Pi is only scanning 3 class C networks. if for any reason your dhcp server let an address out side of that SA won't work. Since the dongles have an ip as witnessed by the fact the EG4 web site works you might just try to expand the scanned range. You can determine the ip that was assigned to the dongle by looking at your dhcp server leases most likely in your router.

What I did was go into my network settings in the control panel and reset the network.
I had tried to reboot my router but did not have any luck with that.
I hope that will work for you as I don't have any other idea's right now but let us know how it turns out.

What is reset the network ? How to do it? The reboot didn't work. Thanks

I am using win7 so it might be different then what you use.
I go to control panel click on network, go to troubleshoot and let it not find anything.
Then look to the bottom of the notice and it will have some options, one will be reset network.
After you click that it should work if you have the same problem I had but you might have to input all your network settings again.

My 485 to usb adapters are coming tomorrow. If I can get them to work with SA - problem solved and I won't care about connecting over IP.
