I built this solar golf cart around a single sunpower solar panel and a victron 100-20 48v.

heres the wiring layout, at first i was using the oem charger as backup but it was over charging so i added the diodes so it charges from led power supplies and solar at the same time.

the panel mppt voltage is around 55v so i set the led power supplies to 55v to try and get the most power from solar while ac charging.
The system is in use daily on my dads farm for the last 9 months. Its makes 1-2 kwh per day and keeps the batteries from getting low. also if they run it out of power in the back 40 they can just let it sit and recharge.

Very cool.

Have you ever tested the respective currents during dual charging to confirm maximum solar? If panel Vmp is around 55V, you might get there. Gut tells me having the MW's a little lower might favor solar.

That's pulling some great watts to be a single cell in that picture.

Btw, I have the exact same Victron controller - I commend you on being able to fit the wires in the tiny receptacles - why do they make them so small?

ya now the screw terminal stripped out in the clamped closed position, such trash, ive used a lot of phenix contact blocks and never had that happen, seams like a knock off
