Laying out a solar system for a boat. total of 600 watts in 3 arrays (offset of shade). I have this all laid out - requesting anyone let me know if you see anything wrong or if it looks good.

the few things
  • I am unsure of is the size of the MPPT Controller. Not sure if 100/20 will work or if I need 150/100......
  • 10 AWG Wire through (array 1 10' run, 2 12' run 3 15 ft run) - thinking this is fine.
  • also fuses on the 3 arrays - i assuming 15 amp fuses are good
  • also tossed a 50 and 60 amp breaker before and after the controller.

thoughts?

Everything looks good.
Except for the breakers are too big, if you don't also have fuses. You're going to want about 25a protection, on both sides. If this is done with fuses, you can also have the breakers for easy disconnects.

Actually, the 50a for the battery side. Would be fine, if you went with the 150/100. Which won't limit your charging.

By the numbers you posted.
58.86a from charger to battery, will be drastically limited by a 20a charger output.
