SOLAR KITS FROM CHINA

Hi everyone,

I'm from New Jersey and considering starting my own project. I'm interested in purchasing a complete solar kit from China—one that includes panels, an inverter, batteries, and wiring (a basic plug-and-play system).

I've seen many options online from sellers on platforms like AliExpress, but since these kits cost over $15K, I want to be cautious. I don’t mind spending that amount, but I’m looking for a reliable supplier that can successfully deliver to the U.S.

If anyone has experience purchasing these kits, I’d appreciate your recommendations.

Thanks!

Not worth it IMO, if you are from the U.S.
I'm sometimes jealous of you U.S. guys that have many options locally, like Signature Solar, Current Connected, Watts24/7 and probably many other vendors I'm not aware of. Not to mention Amazon...

In other places of the world, we are very limited to what's available locally (and at a premium price compared to the U.S.).

Buying locally has many benefits, like lower shipping costs, support, warranty and the possibility to return the product.

Personally, I do buy cheap AIO inverters, Lifepo4 cells/BMSs and some other components from China (either Aliexpress/Alibaba). But large solar panels I buy locally.

I guess it depends on the size of your system you are putting together. I buy directly from China, but not as kits.

If you buy anything from China your going to want to hire an import broker.

What might cost you 500 dollars could end up costing you another 1500 just to get here and pay all the duties and import fees on.

Try talking with santansolar. Their used panels and kits are great. They are incredibly helpful, and sell products that are meant for diy.
Hard to beat a panel for $20-40. My 30 used "250" watt ssg panels with green buss bars put out over 200w on an average day, and have hit over 270 with snow cover.
I highly recommend their eg4 6000xp kits with used panels. They are somewhat idiot proof. Worth looking at. Easy to get free shipping also.

Can you share their website please?
