Hello,

I have been living offgrid on a 100+ acres in the eastern shore few hours of decent sunlight in the winter months & good sunlight hours in the summer. Currently running a simple 12v system with two motomaster RV/marine batteries, a 3000 watt inverter & a few 100 watt panels.

Our kids like to charge phones, computers and we occasionally run a projector for movies and that's about it. Looking to get a 24 volt system together may just pull the plug and buy the plug & play system at home depot although don't seem to be able to find much on rock solar which is the brand of all the components.

Trying to get together a simple a 24volt 5kwh system that could run a small tv, phone and/or computer appliances and maybe an apartment sized energy efficient fridge.

What they are sell through home depot is; the rocksolar 2000W 24V Off-Grid Solar System. 1 24v 100ah LifePO4 Battery, they say four 150w rigid solar panels then below in the same paragraphs they say 100 watt 😅 also a 60A MPPT solar charge controller & a 24V 2000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter. Little pricey at 3299$

Wondering if I can get some feedback and information on thoughts about this set up and further information

What is lacking about the system you have? Why go to a smaller inverter?

Do you have a link to this Home Depot system so we can see what is in it? My guess is you could go a lot better.

Figure I would buy this as I get coverage and don't have to mix and match panels, batteries and inverters. I'm pretty green with solar set ups & the 24volt system is for a 20x20 rental that runs mostly propane appliances but I want some power on-site for renters to use
