Hi
Just to show off and contribute a bit of interesting stuff i'll post a description of my electrical dinghy project.
Basically i have a motorboat with a solar power system and a dinghy.
I do not want to keep gasoline around (fire!) so i decided to get an electric motor and build a li- ion battery(also fire...) for it.
The motorboat has solar panels that keeps the house bank of 12v 300ah charged. It also has an inverter that comes in handy when i need to charge the dinghy battery (36v)
i guess a dc-dc charger could work as well - but since i had the inverter i went with that solution.
So the main part of the project was to build a 100 18650 li ion cells from samsung.
giving the pack a 36v 34ah capacity.
I welded the batteries together, added a bms, a 60 a fuse, a battery monitor and stuffed it into a hard case.
Works really neat and was a fun project
