i have the PIP-LV2424-MSD model. and am planning to attach 6 100w pannels here are the specs of the pannels
  • Maximum Power(Pmax): 100W
  • Maximum Power Voltage(Vmp): 18.2V
  • Maximum Power Current(Imp): 5.49A
  • Open Circuit Voltage(Voc): 22.1V
  • Short Circuit Current(Isc): 5.86A
  • Maximum System Voltage(Vmax): 600V DC
will i be able to connect the 6 panels in series or will it be to much for the mpp lv24

I believe the LV2424 max PV input is 145V, you can just check your manual.
Open Circuit Voltage(Voc): 22.1V
6 in series = 132.60V, in cold weather you can add about 20% on top = 159V (145V at 10%).
I would do 3S2P.

thank you for the help. did you mean 3s3p or4s2p ?

ahhh i see. does 3s2p mean two sets in parallel of 3 in series ? also thank you so much for your help. its seriously appreciated
That is correct, you will have two PV strings, each string has 3 panels in series, the you connect the two strings in parallel, thus 3S2P.
