Another feedback on Solar Sovereign @Ashton Rakoske .

2 weeks ago, on 7/12/ I decided to buy a certain GroWatt inverter. Both Signature Solar and Solar Sovereign have it for $899. Signature Solar wants to charge for shipping, Solar Sovereign had free shipping and I found a $50 coupon online. Effective price $849.

Solar Sovereign says on their web site that you can call or email them Saturdays and Sundays. It was Friday after hours, so I called Saturday morning and emailed, no response. I think the real hours of operation (for customer contact) are Mo-Fri. No problem. Might want to correct this on your web site.

So, 7/13/ (Saturday) I ordered the item from Sovereign Solar.

7/15/ a CSR from them emailed me responding to my question from Saturday. I had basically wanted to know that they have it in stock.

Their web site says ships in 1-3 business days.

No tracking number on Thursday. I emailed them, they said that due to the weather in Houston all shipping is slow or on hold. Vendor is actually in Dallas, BTW. I have a friend in Houston who operates a shipping store and she said UPS, Fedex all operate normal. This seemed to be a BS excuse.

Monday, 7/22/ I received a UPS tracking number.

Wednesday 7/24/ UPS actually receives the box.

Thursday 7/25/ I received it.

Well packaged (original packaging from GroWatt). Unit works fine. Price is very good. I paid $849 all included, other vendors have the same unit for $1300 possibly plus shipping.

It was not 100% as advertised on their web site (open on weekends, shipping took a few extra days) but overall a good experience.

I would buy from them again.

UPDATE:
my review may be misleading. I had ordered a GroWatt inverter-charge controller (AIO). I had specified the model number and received a box with the specified model number. What I did NOT know is that this model number comes in 3 different versions v1, v2 and v3. When I learnt that (days after receiving the unit), I thought these were iterations. Like initially they produced v1, later v2 and now they only build v3. That may not be the case. More importantly, there are huge functional differences between them. I found out that I had received a V1. V2 would have been better. V3 would not have been good. The vendor should have asked me which of the 3 versions I wish to buy.

I wish my experience was similar! I placed an order with Solar Sovereign on Aug 7 after speaking with a sales rep who told me I would have the panels within a week to a week and a half. It has been over 3 weeks and the panels are still just sitting there with the shipping dept and haven’t been sent or even assigned a tracking number. I’ve called several times and been assured they would be sent out the next day or following Monday and still nothing.
They might have some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I’ve been on hold for over 20 minutes a few times, waiting to speak with someone, when I get an automated message saying that my time is valuable and that I will be placed on the list for a call back. Not once have I received a call back.
If I ever do receive this order I am pretty positive it will be my last one with them.

Well, delivery problems can happen to the best. IMO, the best online shopping and shipping experience is Amazon. And believe me, I don't like such a big dominant player.

I ordered 8 class T fuses from a dealer on Amazon last Saturday. The web site said that the fuses would be coming within ~4 days. I end up getting 5 tracking numbers for 8 little fuses. First package came Tuesday, had 3 in them.
Then I got a package on Wednesday with 2 more. Today I received 2 more packages with one fuse each. I also received an email that due to supply chain problems, my 8th fuse will be delayed until further notice. I was given the choice to cancel this 8th fuse for a refund (I declined as I want all identical fuses)

In typical Amazon fashion, I received plenty of notifications.

That is probably the key issue with SS.

Also, they were not afraid to ship partially. Granted, the postage must be very affordable compared to a partial order consisting of 31 solar panels.

Anyway, just a story as proof that shortages are real.

The mini-split I ordered from Solar Sovereign on 7/30/24 was never delivered and now they are NOT returning my money. On 8/26/24 Jared Quinn told me it would take their "accounting department" two weeks to get me a refund (completely ridiculous since they had my PayPal payment the next day). Well, that deadline has come and gone. I have no refund and there is no response to my email and no calls or letters. They have not responded to an inquiry from PayPal either. Based on their actions, It seems they intend to keep my money. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

I placed an order for ten solar panels with Solar Sovereign on 08/23/2024. Their website said the product was in stock; Freight Shipping
For in-stock products, standard processing times are 2 - 6 business days. Estimated delivery times are based on carrier availability and national shipping lanes, these can vary anywhere between 3 - 15 business days. It has been three weeks, and I have not received my tracking or order. I have tried numerous times to get an answer, but they keep giving me the runaround: The shipper has delayed pickup. Get a New shipper!! VERY POOR SERVICE.

I’m in the same boat. I ordered my solar panels on Aug 7th after being told I would have them in 1-1.5 weeks. It’s been over 5 weeks and they are still just sitting there waiting to be picked up.
I will never order from Solar Sovereign again. They have told me several times they would call me back after looking into it and not once have they. They just make empty promises and guarantees.

I think with PayPal you have an extra layer of protection. You probably will get a refund through PayPal
That use to be the case but spread the word, they are not very good anymore at protecting buyers.
I recently had a $200 purchase of some equipment that USPS either lost in their warehouse or delivered to the wrong house.
The USPS protection system against refunds is that it's almost impossible to get anyone on the phone and when you do finally get someone the system just keeps looping you with new people, new emails and new questions while nothing gets done.
I had been in contact with PayPal very early on and after 3 weeks I decided enough was enough, I needed a refund.
PayPals response....sorry no can do!
I have been using them for about 16 years and now I am done with them.

Alternatives?
Cut out the PayPal middle man and just open another bank account and get a credit card attached to it just for online buying.
Keep a minimal balance in that account and then use Zelle to deposit money into that account with money from your main account. If you got a problem you can get the Credit Card company to reverse the charges.
Paypal use to lean towards the customer but I had recently been hearing people say it's changed and from my own experience just a week ago that seems to be the case.

I am in the same situation, been over 3 weeks and now they won't answer phone. Have you received your order yet(hoping you say yes)?

Unfortunately no. Last month on the 23rd I called and was told they actually didn’t even have my panels. I cancelled my order but have not received any refund.
I submitted a complaint and review with the Better Business Bureau. I think others should do the same

Hey just wanted to let anyone know that signature solar no longer works with sovereign solar. Signature solar told me they had issues and ultimately sovereign solar is being investigated for fraud. I purchased panels from sovereign solar a week ago I asked to cancel and they ghosted me. I called my credit card company and they said I had to wait till the purchase posted to make any claims.

recontact them and show them some data sa to why it will not post, the company is a fraud, and tell them if they do not pull it back you will get a lawyer and sue them for the entire balance on your card. see if they twitch also immediately report the card carrier to the BBB and list why in detail. put the screws to them until they squeal like a pig.

Did you ever receive a refund?

yeah, heres the link to my thread about it
FINALLY got my money back, and it wasnt even directly them that refunded me. paypal stepped in and gave me the money back under their guarantee.
before paypal gave me the money, Solar Sovereign "issued" the refund two separate times, and it failed to go through BOTH times.
Many phone calls with solar sovereign, multiple emails, and over a month of escalation through paypal....
what an absolute garbage level company. truly.
literally the most drawn out b.s. i have ever went through, and everything i have was purchased online
