Solar Sovereign Unfulfilled Order and No Communication

I believe the saying is “Current Connected doesn’t suck”
there are certain people that in their specialty niches seem to rise above. in solar equipment sales and serivce it seems to be Dexter at current connected, in the diesel world (at least for fords) it is RiffRaff Diesel... quality people will pop up to fill a niche, and normally you will find them to be self effacing people who have high morals and demand better of themselves.

then you have the others, which range from average to "well you get what we have here.... a failure to communicate"

The car is probably a weekend rental.

Nobody wants to drive one of those daily. I just reported all odometer readings to my insurance. One sports car got driven 28 miles in the past 12 months. Half of that was the drive to the smog check.

Sounds like my '08 S2000. Bought new, and had 21k miles on it when I sold it to my son last year. Was costing $250 a month, just sitting in my driveway.

It was a FUN money suck, though.

No a fun money pit is any rotary.... thats fun!
I made a nice bit of coin back in the 90's with rotary rx7's. I would hunt the traders helper thing that came out around here and look for the ads that listed "Mazda RX7 - excellent condition but will not start. Low price".

I'd tow them a few blocks (had to get out of eye site of the people I bought them from since it was exactly nice to let them see this) and then pop the clutch and let it turn the motor over for about 20 feet and vrooom they always started up. Drove them home just fine.

The cars wouldn't mess up again till it rained most of the time.

I would go and buy them and when I got them home I'd do a rotor tip replacement on them which was soooo easy at the time with the 80's models. The motor weighed practically nothing so you just unbolted it and picked it up by hand and slapped it on an engine stand.

Cost about $100 in parts back then from what I remember and then I buttoned it back up and put it back in the car. Flipped mint condition $200 to $500 cars for $2000 or more. Loved driving them too. Red light to red light and didn't have to change gears since it would rev to the moon :)

have owned and driven every model of rotary sold in Japan except the original rotary familia this includes the 3 rotor Cosmo, I had three of them over the years

I'm a dumbass for not seeing this thread earlier before placing an order with Solar Sovereign. After reading all the posts in this thread, I now don't feel as bad, seeing that it took weeks for some people to have their orders shipped. I only ordered a week ago, received a typical confirmation email, and nothing else since. I'm probably gonna dispute the charge with my credit card company on Monday if I don't hear from them over the weekend.

My 18kpv+batt bundle, ordered directly from Sig, not soverign, is getting delivered today, 16 days from order to delivery. 8 to get the order ready and 8 for Fedex Freight to deliver. Interestingly, a 2nd battery was ordered 7 days in and arrived yesterday via R&L carriers.

You need to check out this thread... it explains a lot...

https://diysolarforum.com/threads/incompetence-from-signature-solar-solar-sovereign.85543/

I've owned a manufacturing company for 28 years and and during that time I've dealt with hundreds of different industrial vendors and trade distributors. Solar Sovereign and Signature Solar would not be in business if they were in any normal type of mature market. Professionals won't put up with juvenile excuses and deceptive practices. Just do a search on this forum and you will see example after example.
It's the "New" biz model of the 21st century....

However, I was surprised to learn the parallel cables are not included with the stand alone battery. Additionally, the upgrade cable was not included and the pv wire clips that I ordered were supposed to be in black.
This is one of those confusing things that no-one seems to know, and you only find out about when you open the box.

The PowerPro WallMount batteries include two sets of Degson-Quick-Connect to stripped wires DC cables from the factory. This allows you to connect the battery you just bought to any inverter. Unfortunately the sales folks don't seem to know this.

The number of parallel Degson-to-Degson cables you need is going to depend on how many batteries and how many inverters you bought. And they are $100 per set, so the factory _shouldn't_ pack them in each and every box, as they aren't always needed and it'll raise the price unnecessarily. And yes, the sales folks should know this (but don't).

I've got two PP WallMounts, and of course bought the parallel cable kit. It all works flawlessly as designed, with the 6000XP, but I've got three extra pairs of huge and nicely flexible 4' (?) Black and Red single-end terminated (Degson) cables. Wish I had a use for them.

Anybody in So. CA need a pair? $20/pair and pick them up. I'll sell two pair. DM me.

I'd rather see them go to a good home than sit in my attic.

Edit: They look closer to 4', so I changed the length, above.

I have lots of spares, but I'm keeping them for making long DC parallel cables, or golf cart charge cables with my ChargeVerters, or something. 8*)

The mini-split I ordered from Solar Sovereign on 7/30/24 was never delivered and now they are NOT returning my money. On 8/26/24 Jared Quinn told me it would take their "accounting department" two weeks to get me a refund (completely ridiculous since they had my PayPal payment the next day). Well, that deadline has come and gone. I have no refund and there is no response to my email and no calls or letters. They have not responded to an inquiry from PayPal either. Based on their actions, It seems they intend to keep my money. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

Spamming the same comment in multiple threads is poor form. Start a new thread and @ Jess from signature.

Apparently solar Sovereign is no longer a sub distributor for sig solar, they ship their own stuff out now (which will prob increase shipping times even more as they don't have the benefit of sig solar logistics).

If Sig dumped them, its games over and just a scam to get $$ , again, they sell out of Canada ( website / payments ), good luck with refunds

I placed an order for ten solar panels with Solar Sovereign on 08/23/2024. Their website said the product was in stock; Freight Shipping
For in-stock products, standard processing times are 2 - 6 business days. Estimated delivery times are based on carrier availability and national shipping lanes, these can vary anywhere between 3 - 15 business days. It has been three weeks, and I have not received my tracking or order. I have tried numerous times to get an answer, but they keep giving me the runaround: The shipper delayed the pickup. Please find a new shipper. .!! VERY POOR SERVICE.

I also seem to have been taken by Solar Sovereign (@SignatureSolarJess was even kind enough to check in case they had an outstanding order and confirmed are no longer associated with Solar Sovereign). My order was placed on 18 July and I guess fortunate to receive the EG4 inverter and battery in early September but are still missing a pallet of panels and the last communication I received from them was the 18 Sept. Are there others lurking that also have not received orders? I generally don't like lawsuits, but wonder if it's worth some class action lawsuit.

Yes. I just got my bank to file a dispute. I wish I saw this forum earlier. No response, no answer phone, no call backs, This company definitely has some funny business going on. DONT BY FROM THEM. Don't pay without using a form of payment that will file a dispute and get your money back. If you rely on them you will get silence. I got one response below and it sounded fishy so I did not wait. I filed a dispute within 3 weeks of my order. """""

Good morning Michael,

We want to thank you for your patience and want to assure you that your concerns are being handled with utmost care. Due to the unfortunate unforeseen events that affected our warehouse, we have experienced a few setbacks, but we are recovering at a rapid pace, and want to urge you to remain patient. Once the order is fulfilled, you will receive an email from the carrier with the tracking number, but be sure to check your junk/spam folder. For tracking inquiries you will need to contact the carrier directly.

Our team is doing everything we can to get your order to you as soon as possible, but we have no current updates on the status at this time. With the current backlog, we want to remind you that orders are handled on a first come first serve basis. Again thank you for understanding and remaining patient.

Thank you, Sophia""""""
