Solar Sovereign Unfulfilled Order and No Communication

I need to get working on my 84 RX 7 project car.

Rotary wore out at 200000 miles, So I stuck a bored out 455 (462) Pontiac in it.
I had an 82 or 83 I think rx7. Loved the car. I would think a big block would roll the thing over if floored :)

That is the funny thing, It IS heavier BUT, The exhaust and all the ancillaries on the Rotary are not light. I drove it in to our local metal recycler and weighed it to be sure, I weigh about 225 and with a quarter tank of fuel it weighed 2920 lb with me in it. So car weighs about 2680lb.

Yes. I just got my bank to file a dispute. I wish I saw this forum earlier. No response, no answer phone, no call backs, This company definitely has some funny business going on. DONT BY FROM THEM. Don't pay without using a form of payment that will file a dispute and get your money back. If you rely on them you will get silence. I got one response below and it sounded fishy so I did not wait. I filed a dispute within 3 weeks of my order. """""

Good morning Michael,

We want to thank you for your patience and want to assure you that your concerns are being handled with utmost care. Due to the unfortunate unforeseen events that affected our warehouse, we have experienced a few setbacks, but we are recovering at a rapid pace, and want to urge you to remain patient. Once the order is fulfilled, you will receive an email from the carrier with the tracking number, but be sure to check your junk/spam folder. For tracking inquiries you will need to contact the carrier directly.

Our team is doing everything we can to get your order to you as soon as possible, but we have no current updates on the status at this time. With the current backlog, we want to remind you that orders are handled on a first come first serve basis. Again thank you for understanding and remaining patient.

Thank you, Sophia""""""
Woww .....

I almost ordered from Solar Sovereign because IIRC it was a little less than buying from Signature Solar.
Was about 2 weeks and the entire order arrived complete from Signature Solar. I would have been up a creek if I bought from Solar S since I wired the money.

I have been waiting for my adjustible array mount from Sinclair Design, called today and it ships this week to be delivered on Sunday.

Sorry to hear this, Hope the bank takes care of business, reverses the charges and gets you a quick a refund.

Have to thank this site after reading a few threads for changing my mind on who to order from.

just put in a 3 rotor 20b from a Cosmo... torque out the wazoo, and 600 RWHP is easy... hell with a stock short block (stock porting and the stock intake and no turbo) a few guys got 300 at the flywheel using the stock injectors and intake manifold... add some boost and off ya go.

Sorry for going "off topic" but while we are waiting for Hopefully Good news concerning Solar Sovereign ...

Had a friend that supercharged his 84 and he had to rebuild it multiple times, Under boost it kept damaging Apex seals, but it was quick,

Nelson Racing built an over the top twin turbo intercooled 1600+ HP LS powered 84 RX7 a fully street driven car 15 years ago.
Owner 'honest George,' was 73 at the time. He liked kicking Lamborguini's and pretty much everything elses butts when not going to the post office, store, or Church in it. If you want to see of what it was like to punch the throttle just check out one of the 3 vids of the car, on youtube under "Nelson Racing RX 7"
I would post it but builder Nelson uses some Pretty colorful language while driving it.

No argument there are some crazy fast rotary's. I like how smooth they run, Heck they are so smooth when my folks bought a brand new RX 2, as a kid (later sold to me) and my mom was not really familiar with the rotary having only purchased it 2 weeks earlier , we were on a trip home on the interstate from the big city and had driven about 30 miles at 70 MPH. She said for a new car it is really smooth , but seems to be surging back and forth just a little.

I looked over at the tach... which was almost pegged and said, Mom, maybe you should take the car out of second gear and put it in fourth.

She swore me to secrecy, don't you dare tell your father.
That little 12A rotary was so smooth neither of us even heard the engine.

I think EV's are the new smoother than Rotary today. A stock MYP is over 500 HP at the wheels a New Highland Model 3 "US" version is Over 600 at the wheels- Tesla sandbags their numbers. Some Highland guys are breaking into the 10's with nothing more than lighter wheels and narrower tires.

I like all of them piston, rotary, and ev. But find myself driving the EV more often than anything else. They do not have the cool looks, sound, or visceral experience of the old iron though, and sometimes those things are Priceless.
