Solar system pre startup - Pre charge inverter, what else?

Newb here with another question.

Thanks in advance for the patience. You guys are more seasoned and this might be an elementary question.

I got lucky and stumbled across the fact you have to pre-charge the capacitors in an inverter via resistor. More specifically large inverters. This made me think what else am I missing, it's a "I don't know what I don't know" type thing

I've read Will's book, read the forums, etc but the inverter pre-charge thing I accidentally stumbled across. And I'm glad I did?

When I have the system done I plan to have you guys give it a once over, so there's that.

Are there any other things I need to do prior to startup? I know the obvious things like check connections, wiring, etc...

My system will probably be:

12v

(4) 450w panels (Alexus)
(4) 100/30 mppt controllers (victron)
(3) 200ah batteries (litime)
(1) lynx distributor (victron)
12/3000/120-50 2x120 (victron)
Victron shunt
8 awg PV cable/connectors.
4/0 wire for batteries and inverter

System will be for my RV.

This is my preference…

You have three batteries- get a Victron PowerIn and connect each battery to the PowerIn with equal length wires.

Then between the PowerIn and distributor have your shunt on the negative and a on/off switch on the positive. If you go with the BMV712 you can bolt the shunt and the switch directly to the distributor’s legs ( have to drill it out).

Put a mbrf fuse on the positive of each battery.

Instead of the Distributor- get a PowerIn and add fuses - look at YouTube. (Saves a few bucks).

Also get a Cerbo - it is worth it if you have inverter, shunt, and mppt’s. You will use the Cerbo to control parts of the Multiplus.

10 ga is fine for the panels
 
Here are a couple of YouTube’s that reference what I was talking about.

They used a Smartshunt - so it angles down - if you use a BMV712 - it stays straight and you can make some busbars to go to the PowerIn.

Save a few bucks and use a PowerIn and add fuses instead of a distributor- you only lose the little lights. Or if you want the lights - there is a hack to power them too.
