I have been looking for a system that allows me to mount a panel on a pedestal that will track the sun. Stumbled on this system.

Does anyone have any experience with this or something similar?

My situation is I envision parking my cargo trailer at a designated location, most likely Cape Lookout NC. Climbing up the ladder onto the roof that has a platform mounted on ladder racks, securing my 400w panel on a pedestal outfitted with something like on the link, to maximize my solar power generation. My ideal budget would be about $500 as this module costs, but I would gladly pay less.

Very appreciative of any advice.

PS: I don’t want to permanently mount the panels on the roof. I like the flexibility of packing them up when me, mamma and crazy doggos are done running the beach.

Tracking is not worth it IMO, for most circumstances. How much energy do you actually need for a mobile application like this?

I think manhandling a 400W panel up and down and everything would get old fast.
