I have the Solark 12k Outdoor version inverter with Simpliphi 6.6 batteries connected in a closed loop. It appears, from the documentation that the CANBUS/RS485 connection is on one port in the inverter.
I bought the SA Pi with their splitter.
I have not been able to get the SA to work, along with very interesting behavior when I connect the battery comm wire and Pi to the splitter.
Yesterday I shut my system down, connected the splitter to the CANBUS port, connected the battery comm wire to the splitter side labeled CANBUS and connected the Pi to the RS485 splitter side. The inverter would not turn back on.
I unplugged the wires from the splitter and the inverter started to boot up. I plugged them back in and the screen on the inverter turned off.
I have read through several threads, ran all this through AI, have had email exchanges with SA support and I am waiting to hear back from Solark support.
It does seem that the outdoor versions of the inverter use different connections compared to indoor versions according to the Solark manuals.
Has anyone had any success with this?
Thanks
