HI, i have a RAI-3K-48ES-5G, with 2 5kwh batterys from Sunket, using user defined battery settings in the ac coupled charger.

I have been using it for a few months, and its been charging and discharing as required.

My setup is for self use, with a Acrel meter fitted and also the Solis CT, and that i only want it to charge my batterys from Solar only, no grid.
Following instructions, this had been working and had been the case.
However it now wants to charge constantly from the grid.

Has anyone else come across this ? what was your fix ? anything for me to check.

thanks in advance Jim.

I'd guess it's lost comms with it's grid-current measurement. Presumably the CT - why does it needs a meter as well, is it just for an independent measurement of it's performance?

Anyway, check the wiring to the CT (and whether any new RF-interference source has been placed near that wiring).

Agree with @jgh that sounds like a CT measurement issue at either of them.

Question is what has changed between it working and not working?

@ Seagal, the CT location has changed as per the Solis drawing above as it bugged me i never had it as per the instructions.

i shall put it back as i had it (next to each other) , and then try again.
i must admit i did not think that would be the cause, but it may well be.

Thankyou both.

Ok, so still have the same issue.

Batterys connected and they just charge constantly.
Wondering if there is a factory reset for the solis unit..
I have not changed anything, but worth a shot ?

Try raising a ticket with Solis Support - they are pretty responsive (~24h) IME. Not sure a reset is possible, but a firmware update could be worth a try.

Yeah i will try ro riase a ticket, i did have a firmware update before fitting the batterys, i am also going to raise a ticket with Sunket to see if the batterys may be the issue. very annoying.
