SolisCloud - battery charge / discharge options disappeared from Inverter Control menu

Hi all,

I'm running a Solis RAI-3K-48ES-5G inverter with two Pylontech US5000 batteries - a setup that has been running without issue since installation in February 2023.

It's connected to SolisCloud using a Solis wifi dongle and I had Inverter Control enabled soon after installation, which gives access to update most of the inverter's settings.

We are on the variable Octopus Agile tariff here in the UK so I regularly use the Charge / Discharge option (on SolisCloud under the Inverter Control -> Self-consumption menu) to set timed charging periods when electricity is cheap, free or negatively priced, or to prevent the inverter from accidentally discharging the batteries when we plug the car in to charge.

When I logged in to the app yesterday the Charge / Discharge option was no longer available.

Has anyone else with Inverter Control access on SolisCloud had encountered this? I've raised a ticket with Solis support, but it would be useful to know if it's just me encountering this or if remote Charge / Discharge functionality has been removed for everyone.

Of course in the meantime I can still set timed charging or discharging via the inverter screen, but doing it via the app is so much more convenient (not to mention ten times faster).

I can still see the charge and discharge times on both the app and the website.

Some of the current settings now seem to be in Chinese, but I think those settings never worked anyway.

Oh interesting - thanks for confirming, @rpdom.

But also those settings were definitely in English when I accessed that page the other day, so maybe they're working on them. I'll see what support says when they get back to me.

In fact rooting around in Solis Cloud I just found a 'Maintenance Bulletin' message sent at 01:33 yesterday morning to say that maintenance and upgrades would be carried out between 2-4. The last time I was able to access Charge and Discharge was a few hours before that and I first noticed it was missing a few hours later, around breakfast time! Bit of a coincidence...
 
I see that others are having the same issues. Some with Chinese text, others with missing Charge/Discharge options.

Are you using an Android or Apple phone? It may differences in the two apps which has happened before. I'm running Android.
 
My phone is Apple - so yes, that could have something to do with it - although when I access via the website I'm connecting via a Windows computer.

But it's reassuring that others are experiencing similar issues (annoying of course, but good to know it's more likely to be Solis not me!).

Have others mentioned it on here? I haven't seen if so.

Sorry to bring this up again but did this come back for you? Where in the app can I find it? Im also on Agile and have been manually inputting it into the Inverter itself which is getting tedious so if I can do it through the app that would be excellent.

Infact I think I found it in Services > Local Operation > Connect With Wifi > Login (obviously connected to it via the wifi) > Settings > Installer (Password: solis123) > Coupled Mode setting > Time Charging. Though on mine it only shows one of the start/end times and if I try to edit the times it doesnt allow me to adjust it at all?

Plant -> (select plant) -> Device -> (Select inverter) Then "..." menu top right and choose "Control Inverter"

Then agree to the waffle and enter your account password.
The time settings are under Work Mode -> Self-Use Mode -> Charge and Discharge,

Of course it's just changed again today and now you have six charge and discharge slots available - but only the first three appear to work on my inverter.
