Hello,
I'm quite new to the Solar Systems. And now I have some questions, you hopefully can answer quickly. Or can provide some references.
I did some research but, still there are still questions...

A friend of mine and I'd like to build a Off-Grid System starting with this configuration:

friendmyself
Peak PV9kWp (20x 450Wp cells)4,5kWp (10x 450Wp cells)
Battery16S1P 280AH LiFePo416S1P 280AH LiFePo4
Inverter2x MPP SOLAR PIP-5048MGX1x MPP SOLAR PIP-5048MGX
BMS?Chagery / Daly ?

We chosse the MPP SOLAR PIP-5048MGX Inverter for the system. But we like to extend the system step by step.

He has the need to charge his EV. I just like to go off grid step by step.

Now there are some questions:

  • Will it be possible to add inverters and go from Single Phase to 3-Phase
  • According to the drawings, it's possible to conecct only to one battery.
    • How do paralles charging is handled (one 80A / two 160A ? )
    • Discharging will be now problem? At maximum very Inverter will draw ~100A.
  • Can I build a 3-Phase system only using 1 or 2 PV-Arrays and use two or one inverter without PV. I guess this is UPS mode?

Would be great to hear your oppions.

I know I can split the systems (MPPT Tracker, Chager, Inverter). But what I found so fare was more expensive then buying the MPP Solar Inverters.

If you have better technical solutions, just tell me.

THX

Yes

Correct. With two inverters you can charge 80A x 2 =160A

With a battery of 280Ah discharging with 200A won't be a problem but I keep as a rule of thumb .5C as the max when I build a system.

Yes you can.
