Split location battery build practicality

Hi all!

I currently have a used Sinopoly 200ah 24v 8s and I will to add capacity. I can get hold of 8 more used Sinopoly cells.

The battery location is already full, so I need to spread the additional cells out over one or two nearby locations, with one or two cables of up to 1m(3ft) acting as bus bars to complete the battery pack.

What are the practicalities of doing this?

I'll be aiming for a 24v 400ah completed battery made up of 16 cells. Either two bms and 8s 24v packs parralled or a single bms in an 8p 8s (is that correct?) of parralled cell pairs in series.

Any considerations to make this work? Is it important to use sufficiently heavy cable where its replacing bus bars to have a similar resistance to the other bus bars in the system?

Thanks!

It sounds like you're basically doing the same as paralleling any other type of battery bank. For optimal results you'd want to replace the current battery cables with whatever battery length you need to get to the new bank, so like 1m-ish. Shouldn't be a problem, but I could be wrong.

I have a somewhat similar situation in my RV and chose to parallel.
