Starter BMS

What is a good BMS for a DIY lithium starter battery.

Features that'd be nice:
-High and low voltage protection
-High and low temp protection
-Heater circuit to heat the battery below a certain temp, during charging
-Cell balancing
-Bluetooth
-At least 1200 amps for starting duration
-It'd also be nice to be able to control state of charge from bluetooth, so I could charge to lets say 60% or 80%

I'm hoping to build something with 200ah - 300ah capacity.

It would be going in a commercial truck.

That's quite an order. This is a DIY Solar forum. 4-6C discharge rates just don't happen with any regularity. What cells are you selecting that can safely handle that current?

Never heard of a BMS with all those capabilities. Watching for responses.

The only thing I know that would come close is to use LTO cells with no BMS and a heavy duty active balancer.

Look to some of the car audio forums for how people are doing this.

You've found the main obstacle. BMS for this application is highly specialized, rare and not typically DIY.

The second obstacle is the cells. Most of these prismatic type cells are only rated for 1C and can only briefly exceed that.

My plan is to have a LiFePO4 "house" battery, with pushbutton closing two contactors so cells bypass BMS and parallel with starter battery. For self jumpstarting. Have a 4s JK BMS on the way.
