My new 16 EVE 280ah prismatic cells arrived for my 48v build. Everything seemed to be in great condition with the exception of one cell where the stud drops in 2/3 of the depth before the threads catch. The stud is loose in the threads when it is dropped in the first 2/3, but snugs up after threading the last 1/3.

Could this be dangerous? What concerns would you have and how would you proceed?

Thanks!

I would get a helicoil and helicoil it, but that's me. 1/3 of the threads in aluminum is not a good thing one or two times of assembling/disassembling it and the threads will be totally nonexistant.

Definitely a risk of pulling out under torque. Best to deal with it now than later when you are relying on it.
