suggested wire gauge?

What is the suggested wire gauge necessary for 4 HQST 100 watt 12 volt polycrystalline solar panels with a run of 50feet?
... starting with only two, and 24volt, if I can do it. ...and a EPEver 40 charge controller, I hope!

50' roundtrip or straight distance?
200 watts @ 24 volts means 8.3 amps.
Will you be expanding ever?
Run wire that will accommodate your eventual usage vs running wire several times, copper is not cheap.
