Fellow SRNE users! I just happened across what appears to be an updated SRNE HESP - looks like it's similar, but model named HEBP.

The big changes that I see - 2 sets of positive/negative for battery cables, massively upgraded MPPT capability. 32A per tracker, 4 spots to land strings. The max short circuit looks to be around 40A.

HEBP Series

Datasheets, etc. there.

I'm going to email my contact at Borick when they're back from their New Year's time off and quote these.

@42OhmsPA
@OffGridForGood

I'm really hoping they get some distributors stateside / NA. I'm confident it would put some serious pressure on the big names out there currently...

The specs on them look solid.
18KW PV on the HEBP48120U200-Pro is awesome. My favorite part is you can tell it's a 48VDC 12KW AC from the model number.
My bets on price are under 3K DDP.

This is very solid indeed! Lots of questions now: can it push all 18kw of pv to a load? Or more likely batteries and load? How many breakers? Can it push past 12kw and for how long? (15kw for a minute or two?)

That would be at max discharge.

Looks like 240A max charging.

I like the high grid pass through current (very useful for some people).

Wait,
Do they still allow parallel? where is that listed?
how many in parallel?

ok ok ok calm down SRNE users, parallel up to 6 remains the standard...all is well again, lol

Now @42OhmsPA can buy two of these and test them out - report back so we get to learn from your experiences !
Damn - nobody told me last summer these were coming out !
I wish I knew they were. Fortunately the ASPs have been rock solid; I'd rather buy more cells and build more batteries.
I'll definitely have the HEBP at the top of the list for the next build.

well you were talking about getting some new land, and do a ground up new build - here is the perfect inverter to try out
{and then report back so we can see how they do, ... without spending any (of my) money !! DSAM! }

I feel the same - the inverters are just perfect - shop and Official Solar Tester can now do as they please all day. Next up is more PV and more batteries for the new ESS racks. I will wait for nice weather to get back onto the greenhouse build, which will have it's own PV and reuse one of the MPP 6048's. Lots to do, so little time it seems...

So if we can't talk @42OhmsPA into getting a couple of these new HEBP's - who is up next to try out a new inverter and report back...?

In seriousness, once I get pricing, if it's in line with where I'm expecting, there's a pretty high likelihood I'm going to get a pair. I need/want to expand the ESS as well, but I have 30 additional panels for spring installation, and the additional MPPT capacity solves a problem I've been attempting to figure out for awhile. I have a 3rd ASP new in the box, and I think I'd rather two of these. Will also let me fix a few rough edges from install 1.0.

It also came to my attention (and how I found these) that my smaller, generally reasonable electricity coop here actually has decent terms/rates for being connected with them and no prohibition on sell from battery during peak time. They just require the UL cert, a sparky's approval, and a nameplate capacity <25kwh. Which two of these meet. Not sure I want to do that yet, but I'd like the option. Can't do it with the ASPs, no UL1741SA.

So, there'd be one new, two used ASPs available. (hint hint to anyone watching 😁)

This would be very awesome!

SRNE as a brand, versus selling under all the various relabel outfits (Sungold, PowMr, EAsun, EcoWorthy, Rich Solar and others), would seem like a reasonable thing to establish a NA operation. Headquarters with authorized distributors would take it from being a hobbyist AIO into the mainstream. It would be nice to offer an actual Warranty registration system and provide some CS here in the US.

A while back when I was dealing with Abbey at SRNE she was stateside with a team trying to establish relationships.
I'll have to reach back out and see what happened with that.

I've found lots of land. It's been grossly overpriced or on the N side of the 'mountains'. If anyone in central PA wants to sell some I'll gladly take them offgrid, they just have to pay for the components.

@OffGridForGood
Why!? Why did you have to go and do this? 😂😂

Just as I a coming to terms with your ludicrously neat build thread and how good and deatailed @42OhmsPA build has been, @Zwy ridiculously organized and thought out system (and the fact he can with grid support start upper massive compressors located half way to Argentina)……I look at @OffGridForGood system enviously…..with his HESPs just hanging there taunting me…..now you bring me this!

Frig…..ignorance is/was bliss….. I have just asked Vicky for up to date pricing and shipping of the ASPs and you go do this! Luckily they are, as you say, all on holiday so she can’t supply shipping costs until Feb 7th….But, thats besides the point…..I am now going to be forced to get prices on these things too…..

I hate solar!

I'm not sure if I'm willing to pull the ASP's off, put those in the house and install a pair of HEBP's in the shop. Might even have to pull more wire.......

I did message Borick this afternoon about 3 more ASP's, then saw this thread after @Bushbeast mentioned my name.

I'm waiting for Borick/China to be back from their New Year's. Monday after next is when I think they start back up again.

I've got an email in inquiring about HEBP's, because I really do want to upgrade for the MPPT capacity primarily, but also going to combine down to one power meter instead of the second on my barn. No point in the extra $45 meter fee; if I'm using power out there, I'm not using it in the house.

So ... there will be 3 ASPs floating around the midwest. One still resting peacefully in its box. :cool::sneaky:

He's in IA - I'm in IN. Lots of corn, either way. :)
I don't go east of the Mississippi often, usually only WI.

I was thru Indiana on my way to WV last winter. Left WV at 11 AM and arrived home around 11 PM. I can assure you the wife was not driving. Picked up the gasification boiler that needs a garage to be built for it to sit in.

Got an email response from Borick this morning. She confirmed they're still waiting on pricing information and availability, after they're back from the new year break.

I'm not in a rush on getting anything so pretty much fine with me. Would like to know where these fill fall price-wise.

Will update once there's concrete pricing and/or availability info.
